I personally love that there are more protesters at the current gathering of powers and at the helm of promised hope then there were are the boles of hate and sickness. I hope we push for more and demand it. I hope that we give more to solve problems then wait and be forced for it to be taken for needless wars and greed. I hope for change without the changing of moneys paid and made simply for the change, for the betterment of man. I shun the fear-mongers. I shun the liars no matter where the sit in government aisle. I praise the people. I give them everything in hopes that they take it themselves... but with self-respect deserved and with respect for others and simply without the hope of themselves becoming rich but rather rich in the hopes of becoming happy. For as long as there is needless death... you are simply not doing enough. Leave your coal powered lights on, that were made from cancerous materials handled by slave labor employees for five seconds and you give to them, the millions and take mothers and father and sons and daughter to the grave. We can fix this. We have the power. You have the power. Don't wait for the big government to force you to save children from dictators. Enjoy what you were given (the luck to be born here) but give. To good to give? To bad for you as you were give all that you needed and more.

Human immortality could be possible by 2045 scientists - Live Forever!

Human immortality could be possible by 2045, say Russian scientists - Your Community:

"DARPA is already working on it via a program called "Avatar" (which, incidentally, is also the name of Itskov's project) through which the Pentagon hopes to create a brain-machine interface that will allow soldiers to control bipedal human surrogate machines remotely with their minds," writes PopSci's Clay Dillow.

All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace

A series of films about how humans have been colonized by the machines they have built. Although we don’t realize it, the way we see everything in the world today is through the eyes of the computers. It claims that computers have failed to liberate us and instead have distorted and simplified our view of the world around us.

1. Love and Power. This is the story of the dream that rose up in the 1990s that computers could create a new kind of stable world. They would bring about a new kind global capitalism free of all risk and without the boom and bust of the past. They would also abolish political power and create a new kind of democracy through the Internet where millions of individuals would be connected as nodes in cybernetic systems – without hierarchy.

2. The Use and Abuse of Vegetational Concepts. This is the story of how our modern scientific idea of nature, the self-regulating ecosystem, is actually a machine fantasy. It has little to do with the real complexity of nature. It is based on cybernetic ideas that were projected on to nature in the 1950s by ambitious scientists. A static machine theory of order that sees humans, and everything else on the planet, as components – cogs – in a system.

3. The Monkey in the Machine and the Machine in the Monkey. This episode looks at why we humans find this machine vision so beguiling. The film argues it is because all political dreams of changing the world for the better seem to have failed – so we have retreated into machine-fantasies that say we have no control over our actions because they excuse our failure.

Youtube starts banning 'religiously offensive' videos

I just can't believe youtube's really changing its policy this badly. Sure the terms of service have long essentially defined everything as hate speech while encouraging people to voice controversial opinions (yes very mixed messages!). In practice this means the policy is defined by how its enforced. Up till recently I thought youtube did an excellent job of allowing vibrant discussion of controversial topics:- a mature and responsible policy that would make anyone who espoused the virtues of the Enlightenment happy! Then I got four videos taken down in half an hour, and a 'privacy notifications' against a further two. Believe it or not, the privacy notifications were against videos where I documented a muslim guy hunting for and dropping my docs. WTF, seriously W-T-F. He drops my docs, YT scarcely bats an eyelid, now he says the video calling him on it is violating his privacy? The following videos were taken down, according to YT after review by their dedicated members who determined these videos violated terms of use. This can only make sense if its 'Youtube-Malaysia: Theocratic Chapter'. Malaysia is the place that recently sent a guy back to Saudi where he may face death for merely making three vanilla tweets about Islam. For me it doesnt seem impossible that there is an element of disconnect between what 'Youtube Malaysia' and the rest of the world regard as religiously offensive. I can only hope that it really is this simple, that it's just an error by an overzealous censor. If its a change in policy, its an ill wind that doesn't blow anyone any good.
